My extensive financial background taught me early how important Privacy Protection is. When I worked in debt collection, my personal data had to be protected. Another example is from 2016, when my personal data came into the hands of hackers who hacked into a development server at Michael Page, used by Capgemini. In 1997 I was involved with the integration of a number of client files after a merger. In 2008/2009 I was involved in setting up a shared service center in Roosendaal.
After the GDPR came into effect in 2018, I was approached by various companies to help them with their Privacy Statement. Because the Privacy Statement is only one part of the totall process, these were sometimes extended trajectories.
For more than 20 years I have been professionally involved with the WBP, which is now the GDPR. In addition, I have been the Data Protection Officer of the Basic Income Association since 2021. Privacy awareness is very important to me. By handling personal data properly, you not only protect others, but also yourself.
